October 28, 2019 – My short story “Windows” and three haiku poems (“The Story of Us”, “Stop & Recalibrate”, and “Moment of Clarity”) have been reprinted in Alien Buddha Zine’s November Issue (#12), available on Amazon.com. I will also be “Featured Artist of the Month” at their WordPress site. Many thanks to Alien Buddha Press for their ongoing support!!!
October 20, 2019 – Poem “Kiss Me, Again, Again, and Again” appears today in ICOE Press’ One Surviving Poem Anthology, available at their website for purchase. This anthology contains 42 poems that were identified by 42 international poets as the singular pieces they would choose from their entire catalogs to survive them. It was a tough call but “Kiss Me…” has been, is, and always will be a sentimental favorite of mine.
October 20, 2019 – Happy to announce that my first (of hopefully many) essays for Writing Workshops Dallas Blog “So, You Want to Publish Your Little Darlings” was accepted today and will appear soon online. The article will cover some basic but crucial tips for unpublished writers thinking about navigating the big, bad world of publication. I am very excited about this opportunity to take part in a continuing conversation around ‘writing’ with my fellow creatives out there and this amazing organization. Many thanks to WWD’s Editorial Director Jeanette Smith for the opportunity!
Already working on my second one for November 2019!
October 17, 2019 – Very excited to announce that my short story “When Blood Wants Blood” (originally published at Down in the Dirt) has been accepted at Cutthroat, A Journal of the Arts, for their Contemporary Chicanx Writers Anthology for release in 2020. Much gratitude to Editors Teresa Acevedo, Beth Alvarado, Denise Chavez, Matt Mendez, and Luis Alberto Urrea for the acceptance.
