November 4, 2021 – Just got word that my short story “Roadkill” has been accepted appear in Lemon Peel Press‘s inaugural issue “Disgust.” Apart from this being the first short story I ever wrote and got published, it is also my favorite. So glad to bring it out of retirement for this opportunity…and also a couple of others. BIG thanks to Josh Andrew and Ambrose Kelly for the acceptance.

September 12, 2019 – Wonderful news today!!! Short story “When Blood Wants Blood”, originally published at Down in the Dirt Magazine, was accepted for reprint at fresh.ink (publication date TBD). Keeping my fingers crossed about a second piece that I sent to them (i.e., “Roadkill”) that is still under consideration. September 3, 2019 – The brand new poem “Cajeta (Gimme Some Sweet!)” was published today at Cajun Mutt Press. While a tiny bit “blue”, it is more a fanatic love letter to poets everywhere than anything, really, for all the “ear candy” they give us (though there are also a couple more underlying narratives imbedded in there as well).
This is the third creative piece of mine that reflects bits and pieces of my cultural identity — relatively new territory for me in terms of writing, but I am starting to have some fun (and take some risks) with it. Previous pieces include the short story “When Blood Wants Blood” (originally published at Down in the Dirt – vol 164 “The Deep Woods”) and the prose poem “Digging for Lost Temples” (soon to be published at Drunk Monkeys). I have one or two more pieces to toss around in my head before pen hits paper. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Glad “When Blood…” continues to attract editors and readers, finding its way to the most amazing and coolest publications.
Down in the Dirt, the original publisher of my short stories “Windows” and “When Blood Wants Blood”, has released them in print in their May/June 2019 issue (volume 164) titled “The Deep Woods” (now available on Amazon.com). These stories originally appeared on Down in the Dirt’s website in December 2018 and have each been reprinted many times since. May 11, 2019 – Short story “When Blood Wants Blood”, originally published at Down in the Dirt Magazine, will appear in Cherry Magazine’s June 2019 issue. Pleasantly surprised at the reception and positive feedback this story has received as of late. Glad the story found Cherry Magzine to hang out at for a while before its official retirement. Feeling warm fuzzies and shit all over right now.
