“When Blood Wants Blood” at Fishbowl Press!!!

June 14, 2019 – Santeria-themed short story “When Blood Wants Blood” reprinted at Fishbowl Press today. Many thanks to Josh Rodriguez, Fishbowl’s editor-in-chief, for all his support and the hook-up with the amazing graphic art that accompanies the story. Glad “When Blood…” continues to attract editors and readers, finding its way to the most amazing and coolest publications.

Down in the Dirt, the original publisher of my short stories “Windows” and “When Blood Wants Blood”, has released them in print in their May/June 2019 issue (volume 164) titled “The Deep Woods” (now available on Amazon.com).  These stories originally appeared on Down in the Dirt’s website in December 2018 and have each been reprinted many times since. Much gratitude to DitD and its Editor Janet K. for the amazing opportunity to get these pieces out and about.

“Featured Poet of the Week” David A. Estringel at Fishbowl Press!!!

June 5, 2019 – The first “Featured Poet of the Week” at Fishbowl Press (posts available on Fishbowl’s website and Instagram) will be Fishbowl’s own Poetry Editor David A. Estringel. He offers three of his favorite poems (“And the Beat Goes On”, “joshua”, and David3“Kiss Me, Again, Again, and Again”) and answers some interview questions for the readers. Moreover, readers will be directed to Fishbowl Press’ poetry blog site, Fishbowl Press Poetry, to view David’s profile and even more in-depth interview questions. Over the remaining weeks in June, David will feature some hand-selected poets he would like to introduce to everyone, featuring their work and profiles here on Fishbowl Press Poetry. Starting July 2019, Fishbowl Press’ “Featured Poets of the Week” will be selected from our general calls for submission.

As of now, the month of July is almost booked! Lots of great work that has been submitted so far. Poets, whose work has already been accepted, will be mentioned in upcoming posts on Fishbowl Press Poetry soon, namely, some tidbits about the poets and the work readers can expect to see starting July 2019.

A new book review by Fishbowl Press’ Poetry Editor David A. Estringel of Kiriti Sengupta’s book of poetry, Rituals (Hawakal Publishers), is also available for view, so take a look!

David Estringel Joining Fishbowl Press as Poetry Editor!!!

May 2, 2019 – As a result of the submission of some pretty bad ass poetry and prose (if David does say so himself), some barrier-free email swapping, and a whole lot of mutual admiration, David Estringel will be joining his new boy-crush Fishbowl Press and its team as their Poetry Editor. For those familiar with the publication, Fishbowl Press publishes rather remarkable short-fiction pieces ONLY, so the inclusion of poetry into the mix will definitely shake the dynamics up a bit…but in an awesome way. Details are currently being worked out regarding how Fishbowl Press’ new enhancement will manifest but all at the table are pretty excited about the change.

More to come as details become available.

“Roadkill” Never Dies!!!

April 25, 2019 – Reprint of “Roadkill” appeared today at Fishbowl Press. The cover art is amazing and actually captured the underlying story of the piece. Couldn’t be happier with the art and the wonderful experience I had with the editorial staff. This will be the fourth reprint “Roadkill” has had since October 2018, including its appearance in my book Indelible Fingerprints. So happy that the story still has some fuel.

“Roadkill” and New Poem “little deaths” Have Found A Home at German Publication, Fishbowl Press!!!

April 18, 2019 –

Short story “Roadkill” was accepted for reprint at Fishbowl Press today and will appear on their online platform on April 25, 2019. Very excited! My new poem “little deaths” (very different from my other one “little death” [singular and a haiku]) was also accepted for publication and will appear once they figure out how to introduce poetry into their publication. Thanks, Fishbowl Press, for bestowing upon me the honor of busting your poetry cherry!

This is an AMAZING online publication and I am very excited about being included.
