New happenings at The Elixir Magazine: 3 haiku and a new gig!!!

September 12, 2019 – Thrilled to have three of my haikus, “Solace #2”, “Contentment”, and “Pyre”, up at The Elixir Magazine in their September issue. Also, I am happy to report that I have accepted the position of Poetry Co-Editor at the magazine and will be assisting Poetry Editor Maryam Quereshi in her tireless efforts to bring Elixir readers some of the most amazing verse out there. This is quite the honor, especially since I will be wrapping up my first year with Elixir in a few months as an Editor (poetry, CNF, and fiction) and Artist-in-Residence. Many thanks to Founder & Editor-in-Chief Esra AlNaggar for the opportunity and all her support!

Untitled haiku featured on Poetry Pea’s October “Haiku Pea” podcast (Series 2, Episode #16)!!!

August 19, 2019 –  Untitled haiku poem (a.k.a. “Drowning Sorrow”) was broadcast today at Poetry Pea in their August “Haiku Pea” podcast (“synesthesia” episode). Excited for the continued run (since May 2019) on the show with works scheduled for September (‘flowers’ episode) and October (‘spirits’ episode). August 12, 2019 – Thrilled to announce that along with having my short story “Windows” and three haiku poems (“The Story of Us”, “Stop & Recalibrate”, and “Moment of Clarity”) reprinted in Alien Buddha Zine’s November Issue (#12), I will also be “Featured Artist of the Month” at their WordPress site. Rounding off the year properly, I would say!

July 22, 2019 – Three haiku (“The Story of Us”, “Stop & Recalibrate”, and “Moment of Clarity”) that were previously published at Cajun Mutt Press were accepted for reprint today at Alien Buddha Zine for November 2019 publication (Issue #12). Always excited to be included in ABZ with the whole talented lot they always seem to deliver on a monthly basis. Per usual, many thanks for Cajun Mutt Press for originally publishing and supporting my work!

July 3, 2019 – Thrilled to report that the haiku “The Man in Your Mirrors” has been accepted for publication at Outcast Magazine. Publication date TBD.

“Out and proud” to be a part of the ongoing narrative!!!

Outcast is a lgbtq+ literary magazine based in South Asia. Outcast aims to bring change via sharing stories, poetry and art that thrust narratives from a local context into the limelight and allow people to understand better and start a conversation that can lead to change.
