January 15, 2022 – Great news this evening! Three of my older poems, “And the Beat Goes On,” “Smooth Whiskey,” and “Damn, God’s Got a Fucked Up Sense of Humor” were accepted for publication in Rabble Review’s upcoming Issue #2. Always nice to see these older pieces from my first poetry collection Indelible Fingerprints make the rounds in the here and now.
September 15, 2021 – I am happy to announce that Luca Bowles (a.k.a. Mambo) and I have received the contract for little punctures, our illustrated book of micro poetry, from Really Serious Literature (@rlysrslit) and we are in the process of getting that ‘bad boy’ signed and back into Barracuda’s hands. This project, the sophomore effort since my first book of poetry and short fiction Indelible Fingerprints (Alien Buddha Press), has been years coming and– thanks to @rlysrslit–will be a reality soon. Publication is scheduled for 2022.
August 4, 2021 – Hello All! A big thanks to all of you folks who follow my WordPress blog, Twitter, and/or Facebook page (Indelible Fingerprints)! In case you haven’t been to my website (davidaestringel.com), I do have a ‘Gallery‘ page where I–on occasion–post Vlog posts. I recently updated that page and included vlog posts that offer a mid-year review for 2021 and also some details on my recent participation in Tupelo Press’ 30/30 Project. Hope you can pop by and take a look.
October 10, 2019 – Poem “Coffeehouse Romance” reprinted today at The Elixir Magazine in Issue #10. It is also one of the poems featured in my first collection of poetry and prose Indelible Fingerprints (Alien Buddha Press, April 2019)

September 7, 2019 – Excited to have a book review for my feature-length collection of poetry and prose Indelible Fingerprints (Alien Buddha Press, April 2019) published today at Ethos Literary Journal! Many thanks to Chief Editor Kiriti Sengupta and for all his support and Sarbajit Sarkar for his wonderfully generous review!!!
August 5, 2019 – Short stories “Windows” (about dealing with a parent with Alzheimer’s Disease) and “When Blood Wants Blood” (about Santeria, ancestor worship, and life struggles) were accepted for reprint today at Logos Literature (publication on 85/5/19 and 8/6/19, respectively). They have been INCREDIBLY supportive of “Roadkill” and I, so it was a “no-brainer” in deciding to give my remaining two short stories one last “go-round” with Logos Literature and Founder & Lead Editor Kaiter Enless before they are FINALLY “put out to pasture” (excluding any current submissions that are pending review/publication).
July 7, 2019 – One of the first poems I ever wrote, “Solace”, is featured today in Elixir Magazine’s Issue #7. Accompanying it is a review of my book of poetry and prose Indelible Fingerprints by Maryam Quereshi. Always thankful and grateful for their continued support of Elixir Magazine and their wonderfully creative and talented staff.
June 2, 2019 – Check out the reprint of “When Blood Wants Blood” (from Indelible Fingerprints [Alien Buddha Press]) as Cherry Magazine’s “cover story” in their comeback issue (Issue #6, Summer 2019), released today! So glad and honored to have this piece considered by Cherry Magazine to be one of their “finest in pop fiction.” Sending mondo kisses to Jen @ Cherry and the rest of the crew at Rotten Girl Press!
