A collection of older and newer pieces, Eating Pears on the Rooftop offers up my favorites and my best, written between 2018 and 2019, including “Blue Sky through Bare Branches,” “Kiss Me, Again, Again, and Again,” “Smooth Whiskey,” “Coffeehouse Romance,” “little deaths,” “Digging for Lost Temples,” and “Burn.”
March 2, 2022 – Poems “The Yawning Grave” and “The Healing Clock” were reprinted in Synkroniciti Magazine’s “Ritual” issue on March 1, 2022.
February 7, 2022 – Synkroniciti Soiree (hosted courtesy of Synkroniciti Magazine) is a free, online reading series run through Zoom that connects readers and writers across the world. Readings take place monthly. Readings start at 6 PM CST.
David Estringel will read for up to 20 minutes (maybe more). Featured poems include “Fireflies,” “Dandelion Wine,” “The Yawning Grave,” and “The Healing Clock.”
February 7, 2022 – Poems “And the Beat Goes On,” “Smooth Whiskey,” and “Damn, God’s Got a Fucked-Up Sense of Humor” recently reprinted in the Rabble Review (Issue #2). So glad to see these older pieces making the rounds in this immensely cool pub.
January 27, 2022 – Poem “Palo Santo” has been accepted for publication in Sudo Journal’s fourth issue “Touch Wood,” which will be published in early 2022. Very excited about the acceptance and the inclusion in this amazing lit mag.
January 25, 2022 – Excited to have my poem “The Alchemy of Fingertips” appear at Spillwords.com today. This is one of a handful of poems about grieving the death of my mother and is probably my favorite of the bunch.
January 15, 2022 – Amazing news this evening! My new collection of poetry, Cold Comfort House, was just accepted for publication at Anxiety Press and will be nipping at the heels of Book #2 Blood Honey (also from Anxiety Press) in no time. Glad to keep things in the AP family. HUGE thanks to Cody Sexton for the continued support.
