New happenings at The Elixir Magazine: 3 haiku and a new gig!!!

September 12, 2019 – Thrilled to have three of my haikus, “Solace #2”, “Contentment”, and “Pyre”, up at The Elixir Magazine in their September issue. Also, I am happy to report that I have accepted the position of Poetry Co-Editor at the magazine and will be assisting Poetry Editor Maryam Quereshi in her tireless efforts to bring Elixir readers some of the most amazing verse out there. This is quite the honor, especially since I will be wrapping up my first year with Elixir in a few months as an Editor (poetry, CNF, and fiction) and Artist-in-Residence. Many thanks to Founder & Editor-in-Chief Esra AlNaggar for the opportunity and all her support!

Great way to meet 2020!!!

Poem “Blue Sky through Bare Branches” reprinted today at The Elixir Magazine!!!

August 8, 2019 – Poem “Blue Sky through Bare Branches” was reprinted today at The Elixir Magazine. This piece holds a great deal of sentimental value as it is the first one that was officially accepted for publication (at Foliate Oak Magazine). Still a favorite of mine today…and always.

“Roadkill” accepted for reprint at Logos today!!!

June 25, 2019 – Short story “Roadkill” (originally published at Expat Press) accepted and reprinted today at Logos. Thrilled that this story continues to make the rounds and finds homes at some of the most amazing lit mags like The Elixir MagazineSoft Cartel, and Fishbowl Press!

6 Haiku Poems Scheduled to Appear at The Elixir Magazine Today!!!

May 5, 2019 – The Elixir Magazine, one of my absolutely FAVORITE literary mags (and not just because I am an editor/writer there), reprinted six of my previously published haiku (from Indelible Fingerprints [Alien Buddha Press]) in their May 2019 issue:

“Angels in the Morning” (originally published at Expat Press)

“As I Wake” (originally published at Expat Press)

“Gossip” (originally published at Terror House Magazine)

“Epiphanies” (originally published at The Ugly Writers)

“Fireflies” (originally published at Expat Press)

“Gin & Tonic” (originally published at Expat Press)

These ten “little darlings” will appear some time today. This feels especially good since I am currently working on content for my second book, which will be a collection of haiku poetry. I am all about haiku right now. The May issue is an especially special one as it is focused ENTIRELY on literature. Looking forward to get back to editing for the June issue. So glad Elixir has continued to support my work and to continually be an “Artist in Residence”.
