August 5, 2021 – Awesome news today. My second book–an illustrated collection of micropoems–which is a multimodal, creative collaboration with UK illustrator and artist, Luca Bowles (a.k.a. Mambo), will be published at @RLYSRSLIT sometime in 2024. So glad to have found a home for this project. Many thanks to Barracuda Guarisco for the acceptance.

6 Haiku Poems Scheduled to Appear at The Elixir Magazine Today!!!
May 5, 2019 – The Elixir Magazine, one of my absolutely FAVORITE literary mags (and not just because I am an editor/writer there), reprinted six of my previously published haiku (from Indelible Fingerprints [Alien Buddha Press]) in their May 2019 issue:
“Angels in the Morning” (originally published at Expat Press)
“As I Wake” (originally published at Expat Press)
“Gossip” (originally published at Terror House Magazine)
“Epiphanies” (originally published at The Ugly Writers)
“Fireflies” (originally published at Expat Press)
“Gin & Tonic” (originally published at Expat Press)
These ten “little darlings” will appear some time today. This feels especially good since I am currently working on content for my second book, which will be a collection of haiku poetry. I am all about haiku right now. The May issue is an especially special one as it is focused ENTIRELY on literature. Looking forward to get back to editing for the June issue. So glad Elixir has continued to support my work and to continually be an “Artist in Residence”.
David Estringel Has a New Website. ‘The Booky Man’ Is NOW David’s Official Blog Site!!!
April 21, 2019 – Hello all. After the publication of my first feature-length collection (i.e., small book) of poetry and prose Indelible Fingerprints, I find that updating two websites is no longer feasible. So, I have streamlined things and decided to maintain an official writer’s website, david a. estringel, while maintaining The Booky Man as my official blog-site.
I will still keep ya’ll updated on new published and reprinted works, making links to online postings and purchase sites available (when possible). But, please buy my book, though, as my Starbucks bagels with cream cheese won’t buy themselves. The new website also has additional features that have typically not been made available on The Booky Man, such as updates on submission acceptances, public and anthology appearances, chapbook and book publication info, a gallery with pics and videos, and more.
Thanks for hanging with me and I hope you continue to as more poems, short stories, and–yes–books keep coming.
Cheers!
